The Intellectual Property Journal follows a structured and transparent submission process designed to ensure efficiency, fairness, and academic rigor, in line with internationally recognized standards for leading law journals.

Step 1: Prepare Manuscript
Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s manuscript requirements prior to submission. Submissions should include a complete and anonymized manuscript, an abstract of 150–250 words, 4–6 keywords, and full references formatted in accordance with the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition). Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript meets all formatting, ethical, and anonymization requirements before submission.

Step 2: Submit Online
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s designated online submission system. At the time of submission, authors are required to provide a separate title page containing author names, institutional affiliations, and contact details, along with a brief cover letter confirming the originality of the work and disclosing any potential conflicts of interest. Submissions are formally acknowledged upon receipt.

Step 3: Initial Editorial Review
Following submission, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope, scholarly quality, originality, and compliance with submission guidelines. This preliminary review is ordinarily completed within 2–5 days, and authors are notified promptly regarding progression to the peer review stage or the need for preliminary revisions.

Step 4: Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer review by independent experts in the relevant field. The peer review process typically takes 8–12 weeks, during which reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, methodological soundness, and contribution to legal scholarship. Authors receive detailed reviewer feedback and, where applicable, requests for revision within the established review timeline.
